On Saturday 8th February the Blue Army will be travelling North to Tranmere Rovers FC’s Prenton Park, Prenton Road West, Birkenhead. CH42 9PY.
Rovers have played at Prenton Park since 1912. The ground has a capacity of 16,587 all seated. Blues fans will be in the covered Cow Shed Stand at one end of the ground.
Getting to Prenton Park
From the M6 at junction 20/20a take the M56 westbound towards Ellesmere Port. At junction 15 take the M53 north towards Birkenhead.
Exit the M53 at junction 4 and take the fourth exit at the roundabout, the B5151 Mount Road. (The ground is signposted from here). After two and a half miles, when Mount Road becomes Storeton Road, turn right at the traffic lights (there is a church on the far right hand corner) into Prenton Road West and the ground is about 200 yards on the right hand side.
There is a car park at the ground at a cost of £5 per car. Otherwise there is street parking, but take care as there are strict residents only parking schemes in many of the roads around the ground.
Further along Borough Road, going past the Kop Stand, is a sports ground which has parking spaces costing £3 per car.
There are a few parking spaces at the Birch Tree pub, next to the ground, at a cost of £5 per car.

The closest stations to the ground are Rock Ferry and Birkenhead Central, both served by trains from Liverpool Lime Street and both are about twenty minutes walk from the ground.
Trains run to Liverpool Lime Street from London Euston, either direct or with a change at Crewe.
From Liverpool Lime Street catch an Ellesmere Port or Chester train to Birkenhead Central or Rock Ferry.
From Birkenhead Central station cross the road and turn right, then at the roundabout turn left onto Borough Road (A552) towards Heswall. Go through four sets of traffic lights, passing a Shell garage on the left hand side. At the 5th roundabout, signposted Tranmere Rovers FC, walk straight on into Borough Road and the ground is on the right hand side past the Prenton Park pub.
From Rock Ferry station turn right and walk up Bedford Road for some distance until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout turn right into Bebington Road and walk along this road until you reach the Sportsman Pub. Then turn left into Prenton Road and you will reach the ground and away turnstiles on your left.

Eating and Drinking
Outside the Main Stand there is a Fan Park, run by Tranmere Rovers Supporters’ Trust, which Pompey fans are welcome to visit. It has a giant screen, bar, food and music. Part of it is in a covered marquee.
Just across the road from the away turnstiles is the Prenton Park,
796 Borough Road, Birkenhead, CH42 9JG. Around the corner from the Prenton Park is a Chinese takeaway also serving chips.
The Birch Tree (previously the Mersey Clipper) 17 Prenton Road West, Birkenhead, CH42 9PY, is a Greene King, Flaming Grill pub serving food.
The Sportsmans Arms, 9 Prenton Road East, CH42 7LQ is a Stonegate brewery pub showing Sky Sports and serving food.
The Cock and Pullet (formerly the Royal) 100 Woodchurch Road, Birkenhead, CH42 9LP is a Yate’s Castle Brewery pub showing sports tv and serving real ale.
Alcohol is usually available in the away end, as well as hot drinks, burgers, hot dogs, and pies.
