The PST is pleased to share the news that Portsmouth Community Football Club has appointed Paul Cook as the new first team manager.

Paul, who is 48, joins Pompey after agreement was reached with Chesterfield to release him from his contract.   Talks are ongoing with his assistant Leam Richardson about joining the coaching team.

Since his appointment at the Proact Stadium in October 2012, Paul guided ‘The Spireites’ to the League Two title in 2014 and into the League One play-offs this season.  He has previously had spells in charge at Southport, Sligo Rovers and Accrington Stanley.

PST Board Member and Club Director John Kimbell said ”Both the PST and Club are really pleased to welcome Paul to Fratton Park as our new manager.  His experience and success in both League 2 and League 1 made him the standout candidate so we’re delighted that he has agreed to join us at Pompey.  I have no doubt he will prove to be a hugely popular appointment with our fans”.
