After yesterdays terrific result and the confirmation that Pompey will play in the English Football League One next season the PST Board would like to thank a number of people for this amazing achievement.
First of all Paul Cook and his players and staff who have been a credit to this club the last 2 seasons and improved on last seasons disappointment of the play-off defeat to clinch promotion via an automatic place. To achieve this whilst also playing very attractive passing football does Paul's footballing philosophy credit.
Secondly all the staff at Fratton Park from the PFC Board and CEO Mark Catlin down to the matchday staff who serve the club excellently, some of whom are still at the club from the dark days of Administration, this promotion and the record crowds that are managed every home game are down to their hard work and diligence.
And last, but not least, every PST member and shareholder, President and Pompey fan who either battled to save this club from extinction or supported the efforts of the Club since it was handed over to the Supporters to love and care for it. This promotion is for all of us.
The last four years have been exciting and frustrating in equal measure but to say we did it ourselves is truly gratifying. Many in the game said Fan Ownership at Pompey would not work, it has delivered Promotion and a rebuilt club in just 4 years from what was a derelict shell.
This Club is OURS and we are "On Our Way!"
