Last night PST Chair Ashley Brown was joined by Club Chair Iain McInnes and Director Mike Dyer
The three were given a great welcome and the audience listened intently to the presentation of the success story of fan ownership at Pompey to an absolutely packed Premier Suite in the Macron Stadium.
The evening attracted nearly 1,000 Bolton fans, which was an incredible turnout, all keen to hear just how fan ownership of Pompey was achieved and to affirm the opportunity that Bolton fans now had to create their own Supporters' Trust. The evening was hosted by Christopher Peacock, a former Bolton Councillor and ardent Wanderers fan and was also attended by Bolton legend Kevin Davies who is supporting the Trust cause.
First up to speak was James Mathie from Supporters Direct who explained what support SD give to Trusts and the benefits which was followed by Ashley's presentation backed by his fellow Directors. The messaging was stark with Mike Dyer quoting an unnamed Championship CEO that the league could become a "cemetery" for over-spending clubs.
Ashley said "Iain, Mike and I were humbled by the warm welcome we received and passion of the Bolton fans who attended. We wish them the very best of luck in their fight to save their historic club and we have offered our continued support."
