PST Board to cast vote on proposed merger of Supporters Direct and Football Supporters Federation
by Simon Colebrook

Added on 17 July 2018

Supporters Direct (SD) and Football Supporters Federation (FSF) have been debating a proposed merger by the two organisations for the past 18 months. This has been prompted by the Premier League Fans Fund suggesting the merger and their intent to not fund any duplication of fans representation.

As a member of SD, the PST has a say in the vote on whether this will happen. All Supporter Trusts have a single vote on the SD part of this decision and the PST Board is considering the cases for and against the merger.

We encourage our members to read the attached pdf produced by SD and to give us feedback. The PST Board will take in account any feedback it receives in arriving at its decision on how to cast the PST vote.

This is an important decision as it will shape the nature of engagement, consideration and activism between fans, clubs, football authorities and the government for the foreseeable future.
