by John Kimbell

Added on 25 February 2014

The new website has now been live over a week and on the whole has really been well received by those that have visited it.  Thanks to those of you that have been in touch with feedback – it is much appreciated and many of your comments for the future development of the site are already under consideration.

The board are delighted that many of you are making the most of contacting us via the new ‘contact us’ functionality.  Please do make the most of this opportunity to be able to directly email any individual on the board – we are here to answer your questions and help where possible.  We do try and respond to queries as quickly as possible, so please be patient if you don’t receive an immediate response.

The site statistics show :-

We received nearly 2,000 unique visits in the last week
People looked at an average of 7 pages per visit
People spent an average time of 6 minutes on the site
Those that visited the site reflect the global nature of our supporter base, with visits recorded from America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and Holland.

We are really pleased that so many people have visited the new site already.  Of course the key to encouraging people to return to any website, is to offer readers fresh and engaging content – so if you have anything you would like to contribute to the site (for example community stories, blog posts or any relevant news stories) please send it to [email protected] for consideration.

It is worth remembering that the site, although now live and fully functional, is a work in progress.  Our initial objective was to get the site live as quickly as possible and now we have achieved this, we will look to enhance and add to it.

We will always try and link to key news stories via our social media channels, but do come back and check the site regularly.  There are a number of exciting initiatives in the pipeline and we’ll be looking to share these with you soon.

Play Up Pompey!
