PST Away Ticket Ballot Returns For The 25/26 Season
by the PST Board

Added on 25 June 2025

The Pompey Supporters’ Trust will continue to receive an exclusive allocation of away tickets for the 25/26 season, which will be available for PST members to purchase.

PST members will be able to apply for these tickets in a ballot, making a small number of tickets for each fixture available to supporters who may not otherwise have been able to access them.

PST Chair Donald Vass said: “We’re completely supportive of the current loyalty point system – in fact, the PST was part of the group who originally worked with the club to establish it. It’s fair and correct that fans who travel regularly to games should get priority access to high-demand fixtures, and that the vast majority of tickets are distributed in this way. ”

“We’re mindful of the fact that many supporters have very legitimate reasons for not having season tickets or travelling to every game however. They may be on a low income, have caring commitments, or live internationally, for example. Our ticket allocation, which will be open to all PST members, will run alongside the club’s main ticket sale and mean around 2% of the club’s total allocation for each game will be more widely accessible. Fans will be awarded loyalty points for these ticket purchases in the normal way, allowing them to build their own loyalty point total as well.”

In the PST’s 2024 Supporter Survey, the most common suggestion put forward to improve the club’s away ticket sales process was to have a small portion of tickets available to those without the necessary number of loyalty points. As a result, the PST set up the Away Ticket Scheme, which members used to access tickets throughout the 24/25 season.

PST members who are interested in applying for away tickets through the PST will need to sign up for free to the PST Away Ticket Scheme HERE. They will then receive emails ahead of games going on sale offering them the chance to request tickets. If necessary, a random ballot will be used to decide which PST members receive the tickets they have requested.

PST membership costs just £5 per year – you can join at https://pompeytrust.com/pages/membership

Q: Will this mean fewer tickets are available to Pompey supporters in the main away ticket sale?

A: No – the PST’s ticket allocation will come from within the existing ticket allocation for supporter groups.

Q: How big an allocation of tickets will the PST receive for each fixture?

A: The PST’s ticket allocation will amount to around 2% of the club’s total allocation. The number will vary depending on the total away allocation, but for a typical league game where the PFC total allocation is around 2,000 we will have around 40 tickets available for members.

Q: How do I apply for away tickets from the PST?

A: You must be a current member of the PST, and then sign up for the PST’s Away Ticket Scheme here. Members of the PST Away Ticket Scheme will then receive an email prior to away fixtures going on sale inviting them to complete a form with their name, client ID, email, and the number of tickets they would like to apply for.

Q: Why do I need to sign up to the PST Away Ticket Scheme first?

A: Signing up to the PST’s free Away Ticket Scheme allows us to only contact members who are interested in purchasing tickets, and gives us permission to share your client ID information with the club.

Q: How many away tickets can I apply for? Will I be seated with my friends and family?

A: You can apply for up to four tickets. If you would like to request more than one ticket, you can do so, but will need to provide a name, client ID and email for each one, and everyone in your party must be a member of the PST. If successful in the ballot, you will receive the full number of tickets you’ve requested, and be sat together.

Q: How will the PST decide who receives the tickets?

A: If the number of applicants is fewer than the number of tickets available, each applicant will be successful. If the number of applicants is greater than the number of tickets available, the PST will run an automated random ballot to determine which applicants are successful.

Q: Will I receive loyalty points for buying away tickets via the PST?

A: Yes, you will be awarded loyalty points in the normal way.

Q: How will I know if I’ve been successful in the PST ballot?

A: You will receive an email when our ballot closes advising you whether you were or were not successful.

Q: How do I pay for tickets if I’m successful in the PST ballot?

A: The tickets will be reserved in your Portsmouth FC online ticketing account for you to purchase directly from the club, which you will need to purchase by a given date. You do not need to provide any money or payment to the PST. Any reserved tickets not paid for on your online ticketing account  will be returned to the pool of tickets available for the main ticket sale by the club. You can watch the club’s video guide on how to purchase reserved tickets here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWyw9tjfU9A

Q: What happens if I’m not successful in the PST ballot?

A: The PST’s ballot will take place prior to the club’s main ticket sale. This means if you’re not successful via the PST, you can still purchase tickets in the normal way.

Q: Can I enter the PST ticket ballot and also request tickets via another supporter group?

A: No - You cannot purchase multiple tickets on a single client ID. PST members who are also members of another supporter group are encouraged to only request tickets through one ticket group.

Q: Does the PST organise travel to away matches?

A: The PST does not arrange travel to away games. Successful ballot entries will have to organise their own travel.

Q: Can I request child/concession match tickets through the PST ballot?

A: Yes, you can request child/concession tickets as part of an adult-led group. Each person will first need to be a member of the PST (details of how U18s can become a member of the Trust for free are available here). They then need to register with the Away Ticket Scheme - it's important that we have their individual details so that these match up to their individual PFC ticket account. The adult can apply for tickets on behalf of children. Both adult and U18 tickets will be reserved in the lead adult's online PFC ticketing account to purchase.

Q: Can I request disabled match tickets through the PST ballot?

A: Unfortunately not – these will need to be bought through the club’s main sale.

Q: I signed up to the PST Away Ticket Scheme last season – do I need to resubmit my details?

A: No – as long as you still have an active PST membership, you’ll continue to receive emails about away tickets if you’ve already signed up to the scheme.
